ADT - Australasian Digital Thesis Program

Overview

In order to maintain a common 'national' look as well as keeping the process manageable some basic standards of depositing theses are maintained.

The standards help ensure that consistent quality DC metadata is generated, and that this metadata can be easily found and gathered into one central searchable distributed national database.

Definition of a thesis

For the purposes of the ADT program the definition of a thesis is:

• PhD (Doctor of Philosophy)
• PhD equivalent - This is left to the individual institution to determine
• Masters Thesis by research
